Originally by: Alex Bloom T2 lottery was cool. It provided a fair chance to anyone get lucky. Now it's just stupid grind with invention jobs and a lot of envy towards the T2 BPO owners. I never won anything in Eve and I don't care about game balance or pathetic arguments about fairness and/or hard work. It's game and I play for fun, not for work. Lottery was fun and I wish CCP reconsider there plans of killing it.
Yeh i agree lottery was fun. Thats why i got 10 t2 BPOs and you got none. Makes me smile :)
And CCP removing lottery so you can NEVER hope to win any BPO makes me smile even more :) the little griefer inside me is also happy :)

Well, you was really lucky, unless your statement designed for troll purposed
Gee you saw through it?
And seriously? Lottery was one of most screwed up thing in game. Glad its gone and you can actally hope to get into t2 production by investing into it.
+ its not like "i had xxxxxxx RPs in starship i could win a ship BPO" would help you. Whne certain number of BPOs are/were given out lottery was closed anyways. Only recently (pre-rev) ccp gave another batch of BPOs to try and fight monopoly - which wouldnt work anyways (as soon as BPOs were won on lottery they were usually sold back to monopolists).

But as I pointed out, invention in its current form is simply an impossible venture to undertake successfully without a huge beginning bank role (consistently). And you do realize that invention gives you a T2 BPC, not a BPO, correct? So you have the lotto that gives away T2 BPOs for free, versus invention which costs loads of money and only gives you a 1 run BPC in the case of ships. Yes, invention certainly would break up that evil CCP T2 distribution monopoly.
So instead of invention that gave YOU (yes, personally YOU) a chance to get rich you prefer lottery which will NEVER give you anything (because all BPOs were handed over anyways)? Or maybe you want like 1000's of people to hope that "maybe ill win the big one on lottery, hell yeah!" and die in pouverty?
As for "costs lot of money" - WRONG. You can begin inventing with 200mil isk and get back those iskies in 2 weeks tops (thats for "poor" inventors). Or have "lottery type luck" and go exploring for skills+data interface (look, you can have your lottery and get all for "free" if you want).
But guess you are on same bandwagon as "invention chances dropped for me, invention is not worth it anymore" people who go to forums at 1st ocassion, while others like me still make 1bil per week and just laugh.
(Yes i run invention non-stop for abt 150-200mil/day income. My BPOs net me abt 500mil/month and i use em only to cover GTCs for my 2 acc's).

But invention is the lotto. Granted, pretty high chance, but still - lottery.
No it's not! Invention requires investment capital, skills, station slots, and on and on. It has a fixed chance of success. How is that a lottery?
No it doesnt. You can find all needed stuff in exploration if you want. Then you have insane timesink + lotto again (chances to find interfaces + enough cores etc are very slim).

You seems kind of gamer who runs multiple accounts, use alts, farm plexes and grind for isk. Invention, for you, simply another grinding tool to make more isk, to pay for more accounts and to feel powerful and elite.
I play because Eve is fun. ( And I truly believe that I am not alone here). Lottery is fun. Grinding is not. It's fun to have a chance of winning a jackpot and it is not fun to sit at the station and play with calculator.
I have 2 accs - thats enough. And i do invention because its is NOT grind. Like i said (here or maybe in other topic) - i dont mine because it is boring. Dont NPC - boring. Sometimes run 1-2 missions (but rarely - they are boring). All i do is PVP + invent + explore with my alt. PVP is constant fun, so is exploration. Invention is 10-15 minutes work per day (remote laboratory/factory operation, remote buy/sell orders). I dont consider 15 minutes per day a grind. Usually taking a bath takes longer - do i grind real life bathing skills? ;p
EDIT: if you think lottery is fun then play them - there are plenty of ingame LOTTOS, BPO one wasn the ONLY one.
If you wanted to play for BPO to produce t2 items then youd hit same ground as others "production grind" as you call it. If you want to play to sell BPO - then just play other lotteries in which you can win isks. Still for me fun = something i can do, not waiting in anticipation for that once-in-a-life chance.
